What's this place all about?

We like to think of this site as being somewhat interactive.  Its foundation is based on material contributed to the site by its readers.  The premise is that often the average "Jane" or "Joe" has just as much to offer as someone being paid and who is being influenced by an editor.  There are no guidelines or formats to adhere too .  If it's about the outdoors and even remotely interesting, it's probably appropriate.  If you have an article, report, or cool picture to contribute, please send it in.

* We are very much against censorship.  However, for obvious reasons, we need to make sure that what is being "published" is appropriate in subject and language.  

** We encourage anyone to use this site.  However, you may notice that there are a couple of forums that require a username and password.  These are used by the local crew for announcing upcoming trips.  We hate the idea of seeming exclusive, but for liability reasons, securing these particular forums is necessary.
