Day 41 (6/15/03) 1/2 Hr:  Lightly sanded and applied a coat of epoxy to the upper-side of the rails and the breasthooks

Day 42 (6/17/03) 1 Hr:  Added two more coats of epoxy to rails and breasthooks

The rails and breasthooks are epoxied (ok, it's just an excuse for another pic)

Day 43 (6/21/03) 12 Hrs:  I'm toast!!!  Just finished laying fiberglass to the interior.  First, I filled all the wire holes with "peanut butter mix", then sanded down the entire interior (a step that took half the day, and that the instructions don't even mention).  First with 150, then 220.  Then I rounded the edges of the frames for esthetics.

The next step was to fillet the seams between the bottom and #1 panels, and the #1 and #2 panels.  Before these could cure, I layed the fiberglass in each chamber and put down the first coat of epoxy.

NOTE:  The first version of the instructions called for 39" x 50" sheets of fiberglass for the Middle chambers.  This is not consistent with the mention that the fiberglass should come within 1/4" of the frames.  I believe this error has since been resolved

Day 44 (6/22/03) - 1 Hr:  Applied a second coat of epoxy to the interior.

Day 45 (6/26/03) - 3 Hrs:  Sanded the first two coats of interior epoxy and the fiberglass (80 grit, 150 grit, 220 grit).  I have managed to get the edge of the fiberglass reasonably smooth so it wont be too noticeable.
